Factory cat finally gets furever home with worker after harmful threats from factory owner towards the feline, but when the move spooks the cat, rescuer has to work to win him over: ‘He's very affectionate and now he likes to lie down and purr’

Cats are quite often found wandering around industrial areas and so this story's feline who was found by a factory is no special case. But what is special is the lengths that one factory worker went to in order to ensure the feline's safety from his cat hating boss. Eventually causing them to seal the deal with an adoption that would prove to be more complicated than expected. 

Cat rescues really do come in all shapes and sizes, colors and creeds. But perhaps the hardest ones are when a cat finds itself in a pawsition where they are being actually threatened by a hooman. In this story it is the factory owner who instructed his employees to boot the cat as far away from their facility as pawssible. A completely unnecessary instruction and one which caused one cat loving factory worker to stand up and attempt to push back the rising tide of feline hatred. Day after day this man dutifully fed the feline in secret. Doing what he could to make sure that the cat would not be seen all too often by the owner or the other workers of the factory.

But one day, enough was enough, caring for this cat who had become quite at home in this man's soul was becoming tough in the industrial environment and so the decision was made to move him home. This part of the story tells a different kind of tale. One which shows just how hard and confusing it can be for everyone involved when a stray cat is brought into their first home. But most of all it is a story that reminds us that sometimes less is more and when we let things breathe, our issues can often settle themselves.

  • Wow, ok this is really rather amazing. It is not a small feat to stand up to your boss and go against their wishes. Especially when it comes to cats. Some people can be so weird and wildy cruel when it comes to cats. It is truly lucky that this cat loving hooman was there to make sure that at the very least no harm befell this sweet cat. Not to mention the incredible lengths and efforts they have gone to in order to ensure the future safety of this feline. It takes true bravery so swim against the current and do what feels right in your heart.

  • Well, that is a tough one fur sure, but not an uncommon problem to run into. Stray cats are just that stray, they only know of a life outdoors doing whatever they can to get the food and shelter they need. So when they enter a home it can take quite a while for them to get adjusted and used to living in such close quarters with hoomans. Leading them to do some pretty irrational and interesting things along the way. So while it might look like this cat is being ungrateful by only giving love to his rescuer’s girlfriend, it might just be his way of getting used to the second hooman he has ever allowed himself to love.

    His health seems to be fine, he purrs with my girlfriend, he lets her clean him (with a little warm wet rag) and he even started cleaning himself a bit but i don't want to force him to live with me if he dislikes me.

    Just want to tell you guys that he's doing GREAT. He's a non-stop purring machine, he plays with all his toys, he investigates and runs around, he loves to be with me and my girlfriend, he's very affectionate and now he likes to lie down and purr, he can do this for hours and hours.
